Doc Daneeka & Seven Davis Jr. Remixed By Earl Jeffers & Andres
So what's it going to be? Doc Daneeka offers us a low-slung, rolling groove, plied with lashings of Seven Davis Jr.'s syrupy, seductive vocals in his latest, demanding an ultimatum. Echoing around the original are versions by Detroit house monolith Andres who throws a melancholic sheen and older house shuffle under it, while Earl Jeffers whips it into a disco-tinged, forever-forward-leaning stance, looping the "waiting for" sample into infinity and sliding a simple string flourish over a bouncy beat. Also included is a dub by Daneeka which brings to prominence the more subtle tribal aspects of the track.
What's It Gonna Be? is out on 13th November through Ten Thousand Yen.
