Bristol and London-based party Dialogue have announced the launch of their eponymous label with a debut EP, ‘Blind Summit’, from founders and residents ASTRYD.

Today they share the video for the title track, a collaboration with filmmaker Elisa Cucinelli and dancer Justin Thomas-Smith which explores “our human relationship to, and violation of the earth.”

The duo examine similar themes across the entire EP, from togetherness and isolation to existential fears and anxieties, as well as posing a central question: How can we find and nourish the collective and find forms of resistance, when so much in our world is isolated and fragmented?

Sonically this is presented via four distinct techno tracks, wracked with tension and discomfort, yet unified by throbbing synths, thundering drums and crackling energy. The EP bursts into life with haunting vocals over a stuttering beat, building to looming peaks over a fractured, gritty palette.

For four years Dialogue have run parties in Bristol and London focussed on creating safe, inclusive spaces, while booking diverse, forward-thinking line-ups. Past guests have included the likes of object blue, Akua, Giant Swan, Loraine James and Machine Woman.

Following the release of the EP, ASTRYD will host a two-part livestream on Saturday, 20th March, which will feature an afternoon discussion panel with queer collective OPULENCE, followed by a Dialogue hosted party. More details TBA.
