Carl Craig Takes ‘Somewhere’ Party To Barcelona

Inspired by Mad Mike Bank's legendary 'Somewhere in Detroit' record store, Carl Craig launched the 'Somewhere In…' parties with a special one off event on the Balearic island of Formentera last summer. Now he plans to tour the party around the world, with the next installment being a tasty looking shindig in Barcelona on June 15th. Titled 'Somewhere in Barcelona', (duh) and taking place at  Bloc, the event will see Craig joined by fellow techno heroes including Derrick May and Kenny Larkin,  with live performances coming from Mark Ernestus & Tikiman and Octave One.

.Craig began his first Somewhere In… residency in April at Verboten, New York closing the night with a set that combined turntable manipulation with live drum machine experimentation – more of the same is promised for Barcelona, with Craig saying-

"For a party to be great, what matters is the purity of good music, the soundsystem that delivers it to your ears and the journey it takes you on. In the words of Funkadelic "Free your mind and your ass will follow", I want you to lose the time in your mind and do what your body wants you to – dance. Forget everything else and join my friends and I on a musical ride."
