Bunki Offers Free Beautifully Minimalist Download
Bunki – aka Avi Barath – is a producer operating under a unique restraint; he builds all of his tracks by processing a single MIDI loop, trying to uncover a new way of working as he goes. After his inclusino in Matthew Herbert's Crossing Lines II compilation last year, Bunki is now ready to release his debut EP, an eponymous 5 tracker coming out via Squareglass Records on January 19th.
As a taster for the EP, the producer has released lead track SKTCH as a free download. The piece is an eerie 4 minutes of fragile, floating melody, similar to the more introspective moments you might hear on a Four Tet LP. You can play it and download it from the Soundcloud link below, and pre-order the Bunki EP from Squareglass over here.
