The press release is calling this emotive contemporary techno, and that hits the nail square on the head. This is deeper-than-night techno for the soul, epic enough to fill a stadium and intricate enough for the space between your headphones. The chord sequences call to mind a cinematic tradition and this wouldnt feel at all out of place in a feature with its swells of melancholy and twinkles of hope. There is a strong remix courtesy of Sei A who turns in a dark and spectacular bass mix, with 909 techno drums speared with droning low frequency undulation that rumbles, soars and unsettles in equal measures.
