Bloc Weekender To Return
Bloc have announced that they are returning to the festival business. The brand spent 2007 – 2011 building itself into a much loved weekender event based in Butlins, Minehead. In 2012, Bloc attempted to move into London's ill fated Pleasure Gardens development, and suffered a disastrous event that nearly wiped them out. Rather than go under, Bloc have instead spent the past two years running smaller scale parties in their own venue in Hackney Wick, reminding fans why they were loved so much in the first place with strong shows from the likes of Carl Craig, Model 500, Surgeon, Clark, Todd Terje, Green Velvet and Move D. Now they are ready to head back to the big time, returning to their original home of Butlins, Minehead, with a weekender planned for 13th – 15th of March 2015.
The first 12 acts announced are as follows:
Jeff Mills / Ben Klock b2b Marcel Dettmann / Modeselektor / ESG /Carl Craig / Hudson Mohawke / Jackmaster / Omar S / Robert Hood / Karenn / Hessle Audio feat. Ben UFO, Pearson Sound and Pangaea / Moritz Von Oswald Trio
Early bird tickets are currently available at the same price of Bloc 2009 tickets – £140. Grab them from the Bloc website and watch the promo video below –
