Ableton Loop Returns To Berlin This November

Music

Featuring both day and night programs, the three-day event combines performances, talks, studio sessions and hands-on workshops aimed at exchanging ideas at the cutting edge of music and technology. The debut edition in 2015 saw participation from artists such as Holly Herndon, James Holden and Matthew Herbert.

Loop 2016 will take place within the historic Funkhaus Berlin, a former East German broadcasting and recording facility in the east of the city that hosts the largest studio complex in the world.

This year's summit runs 4-6 November. The program will be announced in July, and registration for tickets opens May 18th.

Below, watch the fascinating keynote address from last year's event, delivered by Robert Henke (co-developer of Ableton Live), along with a talk by Holly Herndon about the role of process in creativity.
