Symmetry, futurism, bleeding edges, infinitely repetitive layers, contrasting textures and hidden messages. These words that describe Canadian artist Matthew Hawtin’s paintings, prints and sculpture could easily apply to the music made by his brother, techno producer Richie Hawtin.
And it’s in this solo exhibition, showcasing some of the art Matthew has made in conjunction with his brother’s record labels Plus 8 Records and Minus Records, that we can see the parallels between the two mediums.

Gaiser presetns Void live (M-nus, Berlin)
Friday 24th February at RED gallery London
Jon Gaiser recently stepped away from the dancefloor to present his debut Void album 'No Sudden Movements' on Minus. The new project finds Gaiser in a mode unfamiliar to those who've come to know him as the manufacturer of incendiary EPs such as Some Slip and Unstable Witness. The album traverses ambient soundscapes and downtempo rhythms, seeking warmth from a sparser, gentler sound, whilst still remaining committed to the perfection and attention to production detail that has characterized his work as one of the most accomplished and distinctive electronic music producers working today.
