Social Inequality the focus of photography exhibition by Khadija Saye

The pictures captured by Gambian-British artist Khadija Saye are on display in Notting Hill and showcase images which represent social injustice and inequality.

Khadija Saye sadly lost her life during the Grenfell Tower fire in 2017, a tragic event which still haunts the communities of West London. 

The public exhibition is free and being shown on the street facing wall of 236 Westbourne Grove. Her feature in the “Breath is Invisible” exhibition is the first of a three part series in which a collection of artists will showcase work themed around the nature of an unjust society. Khadija Saye described her series of photographs, now on display, prior to her death as follows:

“The series was created from a personal need for spiritual grounding after experiencing trauma. The search for what gives meaning to our lives and what we hold onto in times of despair and life changing challenges.”

Her photography will be on display until the 7th of August.
