Flatpack Film Festival Returns
This Spring will see the 9th outing for the critically acclaimed Flatpack Film Festival as the ten day must-see event for film fanatics returns to Birmingham and aims to once more raise plenty of discussions about all aspects of film.
Running from 19th-29th March, this year's festival has unveiled some of the delights that will be on offer including a celebration of Swedish director Roy Andersson's work, a look at the Japanese traditiion of Benshi – a fine art of live film narration – and a tribute to the excellent documentarist Philip Donnellan.
One of the must-not-miss highlights is the UK premiere of the docunemtary Sex and Broadcasting, which tells the improbable tale of listener-funded freeform US radio station WFMU.
