On November 18th War Child’s annual ARMY OF YOU showcase of emerging talent makes a welcome return, in the stylish environs of the Islington Assembly Hall.

With a special guest to be announced, one of the country’s hottest new bands Tribes head up the road from Camden to lead the live bill alongside east London quintet Spector, and one of the biggest new voices in the blogosphere Stevie Neale. DJ sets from Raf Daddy of acclaimed House revivalists The 2 Bears, Friendly Fires and Orlando Boom, will bring the latest in dancefloor dynamite to the party.

Four years of Army Of You shows, have included early performances from now household names including The Noisettes, Metronomy, Friendly Fires, The Invisible, We Have Band and Crystal Fighters.  Since it formed in 1993 War Child has built a reputation at the forefront of the music industry, working with established artists and the hottest new acts, celebrating live music and its power to change peoples’ lives.

War Child aims to protect children who are hit hardest by war and its consequences including street children, child soldiers and children in prison. With projects in Afghanistan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Central African Republic, Iraq, Uganda and most recently Syria.  War Child works on the simple but undeniable truth that children don’t start wars, but their homes, schools, families and communities are torn apart by war.
