The Hydra launches 2013 season this weekend

The Hydra is back in full swing for 2013 with a massive Bank Holiday double header series launch this this weekend.

Saturday:
The Hydra: Blueprint
On saturday The Hydra heads south of the river to Brixtons Electric for an 12-hour installment of Detroit techno from label and club night Blueprint. Featuring a rare live set from seminal motor city outfit Underground Resistance who present their Timeline project, led by Mad Mike Banks, which promises to be littered with timeless hits from the UR archives. Joining them will be fellow hometown hero Jeff Mills, M-Plant founder Robert Hood and Blueprint founder and resident James Ruskin also set to have a say in this marathon event.

Sunday:
The Hydra presents Running Back.
German based label Running Back will make its Hydra debut on Sunday 25th August Village Underground with the mysterious duo Tiger & Woods topping the bill to please lovers of their disco edits that brought them to prominence back in 2010 the infectious anthem ‘Gin Nation’. Label boss Gerd Janson will also be on hand for one of his much-lauded sets alongside special guest and master of melancholy, John Talabot.
