Sun Ra Arkestra Set For Cafe Oto

Please welcome back one of the biggest and most unmistakable bands of all time – The Sun Ra Arkestra. Operating under the direction of saxophonist Marshall Allen – who celebrated turning 90th last year – the Arkestra have made Cafe OTO their home in London and this venture will be their eighth residency there. 

Marshall continues to be committed to the study and development of Sun Ra's legendary musical precepts as well as composing new music and arrangement for the Arkestra. He works to keep the big-band tradition alive, not bad for a bloke in his 90s!
