To mark two years since On The Real launched at West Ends Bar Rumba before its successful move to South Londons No.1 nightclub and as part of the incredible series of event marking The Doctors Orders 5th Birthday we have lined up a special event where each of our incredible line up of residents will be spinning a selection of tracks by their favourite producer.

After some toing and froing over who was going to rep which producer, with Dilla and Premo proving particular favourites we have managed to come to happy mutual agreement that represents the greatest beat makers Hip-Hop has ever produced!

Shortee Blitzhas been increasing his already considerable reputation as on of the UKs best DJs with his sets at On The Real. Tonight he will be spinning a selection of classic Hip-Hop as produced by the incomparable Pete Rock. Having made his name alongside CL Smooth his trade mark Jazz infused production style became a major influence on the sound of Golden Age Hip-Hop and saw him go on work with many of the hottest MCs in the game including Nas, Biggie, EPMD and loads more. Im saluting the tru master with 100% classic material, nothing but funk!!! Shortee Blitz

DJ 279 is one of the most popular DJs on the set at On The Real often keeping the floor packed with his late night sets after his now legendary Friday Night Flavas show on Choice FM. He pulled an early coup by being the first of our DJs to name DJ Premier as the producer he wanted to represent. With a huge catalogue of boom-bap bangers for the likes of Jay-Z, MOP, Nas, Royce Da 59, and of course Gangstarr to name just a few the numbers man is sure to be keeping the place bumping to the wee hours again! “Primo’s name will forever be etched inHipHop history, even if he never makes anotherbeat”. It’s ahonour to cover his work at this special night. DJ 279

Spin Doctoris one of the UKs biggest fans and supporters of the work of the incredible J-Dilla. With The Doctors Orders hosting launch parties for two of his album releases and the annual J-Dilla tribute party it is little surprise that Spin will be playing a set of gems by the Detroit legend. As always he will have the On The Real regulars eating out of the palm of his hand with his smooth mixing style. For me Dilla is the greatest of all time bringing a next level to the game. Hard ass drums and crazy chops for days it is an honour to rep for this genius. Spin Doctor

DJ MK is one of the busiest DJs in the UK right now with his work as the DJ for both Dizzee Rascal and Roots Manuva keeping him away from home much of the time. When he is in London he is making waves with his Funhouse online streamed radio station and of course his On The Real residency. Tonight he will be treating what is sure to be another packed house to set of digi-funk as produced by The Neptunes. With a knack of creating for creating club friendly classics for the likes of ODB, Nore, Ludacris, Jay-Z, and hundreds of others it is sure to be getting rowdy with MK on the decks. The Neptunes changed the sound of Hip-Hop When they came out in the late 90s making them the sickest producers in the game. DJ MK
