The first Moji of 2011 on Friday 25th February hosts an exclusive DJ set from BASEMENT JAXX placed to delight an intimate crowd with theirblend of jaxxhouse, funk and electro.

Moji is renowned for mixing premiere live bands and acts performing electrifying Indie/Rock sets, Electro, Rap, Rave and everything in between. This trend continues with a single launch party and headline performance from 2-piece live hiphop extravaganza Carpetface & Audible1, whose next release: Down to the Sound comes out on iTunes on March 7th.

The single is taken from their forthcoming album Land of the Gooseneck Steppers, out in June 2011. An oldschool funky psychedelic comic book radio nightmare, resembling a mash up of 3Ft High and Rising, Bang for the Buck, Ill Communication, Deltron 3030, Quasimoto, The Mighty Boosh, 1984, Brave New World, Monty Python and Ren and Stimpy. Providing a surreal alternative to doom and gloom, gangsters, pimps, bling, grime and reality, this record stimulates the listeners imagination and sticks out like a sore thumb not only in terms of the UK hip-hop scene, but also as a superb British music release.

Having shared stages with the likes of De La Soul, Ugly Duckling, The Pharcyde, Mr Scruff, Breakestra, DJ Yoda and Anti Pop Consortium, its not a huge surprise to find out how good they are thebeatsurrender.co.uk

live performance support comes from:

Bellatrix – World Female Beatbox Champion also famous for fronting the all-female acapella phenomenon known as THE BOXETTES, as recently featured on MYSPACE front page. Expect to be impressed!
True Ingredients crowd moving live hiphop from some of Londons finest – a much needed breath of fresh air in the often stale and staid world of UK hip-hop. With the right combination of ingredients, these lot seem to have the recipe for success. “- Kim O’Conner, DJ Mag

Klumzy Tongue & The Acoustep Orchestra – Known for his quick witted freestyles and versatile songwriting, collaborations with Beardyman and ‘The little things’ album with Mr.Dero. Klumzy Tung will take to the stage with a fresh set of songs and new backing band for their debut live performance.
