Kompakt co-owners Michael Mayer and Reinhard Voigt head to Corsica for an exclusive back to back session, forming the second instalment of this series of Kompakt events.

Renowned music critic Simon Reynolds characterised Kompakt as the label that "contributed more than any other to Germany's dominance of electronic dance music" during the last decade.

We're especially delighted to announce that Michael Mayer will play two extended four hour sets, with an hour's interval, at which point we’ll be treated to Reinhard Voigt live, all meaning there’ll be plenty of time to check out their handpicked and hotly tipped supports in room 2, Kolsch live and Blond:ish.

Kolsch is the very epitome of underground techno with a glut of great Kompakt tracks to prove it, although few know that on his days off he’s also the man behind multi-million record selling project Rune, with which he’s won Danish Grammys, become Shakira's preferred producer and had the likes of Lady Gaga warm up for him in the States. Not many techno producers can say they have a second job like that. It takes a truly talented individual to be able to work in a multitude of musical fields and it’s easy to see why Michael Mayer invited him to join Kompakt where he contently releases music exactly the way he likes it.

Showing their commitment to the forward thinking, Kompakt round things off with Blond:ish. Blondish’s innovative and quirky reputation materialized in the dark trenches of Cherry nightclub in Montreal. They have established their musical blueprint by proving that they don't fit the quintessential stereotype they‘re toying around with. In the last few years, Blond:ish have carved out their unique production recipe which focuses on the art of creating music that is organic and multi-dimensional. Provocative basslines contrasted with smooth textures and sticky vocals blend into a genre of house that rebels against being pigeonholed to any specific category.

Visuals on the night come courtesy of Kompakt’s very own AV expert, Okinawa 69. Not just a VJ but also an exhibiting artist throughout Europe. Last but not least, Matt Sawyer of the infamous Brand New Fiction/ Acid Casuals outfits will be getting proceedings off to a suitably eclectic start
