KODE 9 RINSE.22

The latest volume in Rinse FM’s iconic mix CD series, mixed by Hyperdub boss and long-running Rinse associate Kode9, will be released on 20th May. Rinse.22 offers a potent snapshot of his dizzying current DJ sets, which join the dots between all manner of bass-heavy, rhythmically complex dance music styles: sub-heavy house and funky, trap-influenced hip-hop beats, grime and Chicago footwork.

Rinse and Kode9 will be celebrating the launch of Rinse.22 with a huge party at London’s Autumn Street Studios on Friday 24th May. The line-up brings together some of the most exciting names from Hyperdub’s roster: chief among them Kode9 himself, showcasing the thrilling sounds that make up his mix CD. Alongside him will be Inga Copeland, who makes shimmering, dubbed-out pop as one half of Hype Williams, and who will be playing a rare live set. The line-up is completed by a host of Hyperdub stalwarts: Scratcha DVA, Cooly G, Terror Danjah and Ikonika, along with funky warrior Champion and Morgan Zarate.  Full details here
