Hackney Downs Free Festival On The Horizon

Following on from a number of family and community street parties in Bethnal Green, the Hackney Downs Free Festival heads to The Star by Hackney Downs next weekend for a day of music, street food and, as you might hope, plenty of drinks.

With aural entertainment organised by balearic fiends We Are The Sunset – announced so far are Andy Taylor (We Are The Sunset), Piers (Soft Rocks), Chuggy (Emotional Response), Frank Tope (Wild Geese) and Nick the Record (DJ Friendly Records) – attendees will be able to get their lips around the tastes of Tiberi Barcelona Munchies, Holy Toast and Salty Loins before indulging in the sweet flavours of Sorbitium Ices. The family-friendly event will also give the crowds a chance to check out stands from good causes including Oxjam, Hackney Downs User Group and Hackney Mosaic.

So why not have one last throw of this summer's dice? You never know, you might just enjoy it.
