The Pop Group – Mad Truth

Where the hell is this going? I'm not sure if I've ever been more confused by an introduction to a song but a sense of awareness soon rushed over me once the familiar sounds of guitar, bass and drums enter the fray. Yes, that's right. They're letting me write about guitars again, 2015 is going to be a great year!

Great to hear some cracking funky rhythms, I've found myself even beginning to strut – something I had never previously thought possible whilst rooted to my office chair. There are some incredible bass licks in this beauty and I just can't get enough. What really drives everything home is just how captivating the vocals are and there's nothing quite like the wonderfully unique vibe of The Pop Group to really get your day going.

I'm still struggling to come to term with quite exactly what this song is but the funk is easing all my worries and I'm happy to sit back and be guided along a path filled with unexpected delights and I'll be enjoying acting like a sassy black female Hollywood stereotype for the rest of the afternoon.
