Shanghai Den – The Sun – Reviewed

Congratulations to Shanghai Den for inventing a new genre: Alzheimers Grime. On EP lead The Sun, they chuck out all these nasty aggy Eski Boy pulse sounds, then suddenly forget what they’re on about and go all vague in the middle of them. It’s pretty disconcerting, like being mugged by a confused hoodlum. One minute you’re terrified, the next you’re completing their sentences for them and patting their hand. Out now on R&S, so y’know, of a pedigree and probably the sign of good things to come.
