Video Premiere: Wax Museum – Off The Hook

“Don’t let me off the hook, there’s nothing left under my feet. After all the steps we took, down that one way street. Don’t ever lose the beat, I knew it would take us here. Don’t let me off the hook, cos I am lost if I’m not near…”
Following a digital two-tracker last year on Unsustainable Records and a disco cover of M.C.S’ ‘Mr Policeman’, Berlin-based collective Wax Museum are returning with another dose of melodic disco funk, taken from their new EP ‘The Making Of’.
In signature style the five-track release—written between 2019 and 2020—is a melange of satirical lyricism, contrapuntal melodies and buoyant keys, all of which come into focus on opening track ‘Off The Hook’, which is accompanied by an incredible video by director Anna Argiros.
