Premiere: Poppy Ackroyd – Salt

Poppy Ackroyd is a composer from London, currently based in Brighton, where she can be found working with the Tru Thoughts signed Hidden Orchestra. Classically trained on violin and piano, Ackroyd makes music by manipulating and multi-tracking sounds from just these two instruments. On our premiere Salt, the result is a shimmer of clockwork emotion, a track that seems poised with potential, waiting to – but never quite – spilling over into release.
