Premiere: Manner Of Speaking – The Unknown

The four walls of her bedroom had become her sanctuary, it was all she’d known for the past year, and now the outside world seemed scary. A vast unknown that had once fed her needs and desires; it now fed the opposite, forcing her to stay inside away from reality. ‘Things would get back to normal’, she’d tell herself, but she was unsure if she truly believed it.

Madrid’s Play Pal Music return with another edition of their Pal’s compilation, enlisting label mates and artists from across the world for a 10-tracker that showcases the dark, punkish and cosmic sounds at the core of their output. Set for release on 16th July, the release is packed full of new music from the likes of Aural Trace, Leo af Ekenstam, Stockholm Syndrome and Manner Of Speaking, who closes out the compilation with ‘The Unknown’: a sonic commentary on the last year that fuses low slung guitar licks with emotive synth work.
