Premiere: Fontaine SMC – Another Day Another End

Italy’s Raw Culture welcome Fontaine SMC to the family.

Hands trembling, lip quivering; she struggled to keep her poise when he entered the room. She didn’t know what had come over her, she was never like this. In fact she considered herself a cool, calm and confident person but there was something about his presence that instilled fear into her. She couldn’t put her finger on what it was, but it didn’t sit well with her. She felt as though she were losing control.

For their next outing Italy’s Raw Culture welcome Fontaine SMC to the family: a project made up of two French artists and friends. Joined by their shared passion for electronic music, the duo have previously released several projects under other names which have often been filed under IDM and electro, but this time round they’re diving deep into their love for synthwave and punk. Titled ‘I Was A Soldier’ the EP is a social criticism and exploration of human fears and hard relationships, voiced through a blend of EBM, raw, industrial synthesis and punkish, commanding vocals.
