Premiere: ELO – Jax

The weather had been temperamental all week. He’d concluded that it correlated with his mood; blue skies brought productive days and adrenaline in abundance, grey days and downpours invited the demons in. This newfound awareness helped him to control it in part, but if things didn’t improve enough he’d decided to depart for warmer climes.

Colombian label NEA$ came into the world last October with a joint release from Medellín-based producer Astronomical Telegram, under his The Baker alias, and fellow producer DJ Pai. Now the label are following it up with instalment number two, with The Baker enlisting the skills of Bogotá’s Video Club affiliate Leeon AKA ELO for another joint EP. Made up of four tracks—two from The Baker and two from ELO—’Tierra Santa’ pulls from electro, jungle, IDM, acid and breaks influences, culminating in a package of dynamic and hypnotic electronics.
