Premiere: Autarkic – Vitamin X

The deadlines were many and the hours few, he had to get his priorities in order and sleep and health would not make the cut. But this wasn’t his first rodeo, he was well trained in the art of ploughing through. He no longer needed his vitamins to get the job done.

Known for his hazy, off-kilter take on electronica, Tel Aviv-based producer and Age Of Self co-founder Autarkic has brought us some of our favourite leftfield dancefloor releases, for the likes of Bahnsteig 23, Höga Nord and Life and Death. For his new LP, a debut on Red Axes’ Garzen Records, he goes back to his roots, leaving the club behind for songs sung in Hebrew over guitars, synths, samples and lo-fi atmospheres.
