Premiere: Harmonious Thelonious – Ta Ta Ta

Beads of sweat poured down his face as he picked up the pace, panting vigorously as he tried to catch his breath. It felt as if he’d been running forever, as if the chase would never end. It had been a while since he’d looked over his shoulder to check if he’d lost them. The fear had been keeping him going, spurring him on to reach his destination whatever the consequences at the end of it.

As Harmonious Thelonious, German producer Stefan Schwander has been exploring deep, textural rhythms, inspired by his love of American minimalism and African drum patterns. His new EP, Aventure, for Couldn’t Care More is no different; across three tracks he hypnotises the senses, the compositions effortlessly flowing from the bright and minimal to the dark and hypnotic.
