Mr Beatnick – Savannah
The ace Mr Beatnick of Don’t Be Afraid drops his own goodness… decent video n’ all. (Big Willy T)

Jesse Saunders – On & On

If you don’t know what this is, then shame on you. You’re about as house as fingermouse. (probably) where it all began, this seminal piece of house music history gets a re-issue on Rush Hour with the rhythm tracks included. (Jammin Joe E)

Max Essa – Dovodah/Burning Palms, Is It Balearic?
Is It Balearic?  Yes, I’d say so.  Am I the first ever reviewer to think he’s being witty by posing that question and then answering it?  Doubtful.  But it is worth making the point when talking about Max Essa, because to me, as a man that is too young to call himself truly Balearic, Essa is the modern day epitome of the genre.  So he’ll be using sounds and latin rhythms that hark back to the 80s and 90s, but he does more than just re-hash old concepts.  Like our esteemed friends International Feel, he never fails to be inventive with it. (Ed note – Ace Hardway Bros remix on ere n’ all.) (Mad Mike B)
