Chicago’s K’Alexi was destined for dance music greatness. Befriending Frankie Knuckles and Ron Hardy at an early age whilst frequenting the famous Warehouse, it seemed that the status as a genuine, non-hyperbolic house pioneer which he currently enjoys was his by birthright. He may never have matched Mr Knuckles’ status as a household name, but to call the man that even Daft Punk described as a teacher an ‘unsung hero’ wouldn’t be entirely fair or accurate.

K'Alexi's So Chicago EP is out via Seth Troxler's Play It Say It imprint on July 13th. Troxler and The Martinez Brothers' imprint will then release Dark Smiles Vol 1 on July 27th, another K'Alexi EP.
