Influences: K’Alexi
Chicago’s K’Alexi was destined for dance music greatness. Befriending Frankie Knuckles and Ron Hardy at an early age whilst frequenting the famous Warehouse, it seemed that the status as a genuine, non-hyperbolic house pioneer which he currently enjoys was his by birthright. He may never have matched Mr Knuckles’ status as a household name, but to call the man that even Daft Punk described as a teacher an ‘unsung hero’ wouldn’t be entirely fair or accurate.
