Music

As one half of Wolf + Lamb, Baby Prince (aka Gadi Mizrahi) helped transform Brooklyn's underground party scene, releasing modern house records by local acts and throwing legendary parties at The Marcy Hotel. Ahead of his appearance at Egg London for Familia on Saturday 7th June, he talked us through some of the tracks which have most influenced him.

Michael Jackson, Prince & James Brown

This is a well known classic video but it never gets old. These are the kind of moments that you live for.

  • Herbie Hancock Jams With His Fairlight Cmi

Two legends giving you a tiny peek into their genius. By the way they seem like some of the coolest guys in the world.

  • R Kelly Greatest Performance Ever.Wmv

If you didn’t think that R Kelly was a hit making genius, a brilliant singer and one of the best performers of all time, watch this.

  • Stevie Wonder Live At Musikladen, 1974

Stevie is of course among the greats and what a band!

  • Bill Evans Trio - My Foolish Heart / Re: Person I Knew - 19 Mar 65 (4 Of 11)

Bill Evans is one of my favourite pianists and this is him at his best, not to mention one of the greatest songs ever written.

  • Kanye West - Black Skinhead (Live On Snl)

Obviously a popular video, but i still get chills every time I watch it. An absolute fire performance!

  • D'Angelo - Chicken Grease (Live)

An insane song from one of the greatest albums ever made. This is the real deal. BTW Pino Palladino’s bass playing is unparalleled.

  • The Road Home - Stephen Paulus - Conspirare

My fathers, a classical composer, wrote this setting of a classic american hymn. Definitely one of his most beautiful works. He is the most important and biggest inspiration in my life.
