Gardens Of God – 8 Tracks That God Herself Would Be Proud Of

Music

Lithuanian producer Minidaugas Lapinskis operates under the name Gardens of God, presumably to help us Brits spell and pronounce his name correctly – how thoughtful! Fresh off the back of a weekly feature on B.Traits' Radio 1 show throughout May, his Zulu EP is well worth sticking on your record player and having it fill your ears with three tracks of other-worldly goodness. Not wanting to betray our general rule of making somewhat tenuous connections, we asked him to provide us with a selection of 8 tracks that God herself would be proud of. Naturally.

Gardens of God's Zulu EP is out now on Boso.

Uoon I - Alva Noto & Ryuichi Sakamoto (Vrioon)

Two totally different genres and two different elements – acoustic and electronic combines in a very gentle way. Some kind of Japanese warm vibes combined with more uncomfortable Techno.

  • Bugge Wesseltoft - Yellow Is The Colour -

One of my favourite jazz musicians / composers / producers. You can even smell the Scandinavian spirit in his music. Perfect recording technique, perfect mood, perfect music..

  • Plastikman Consumed

What can we say about Richie… God must be proud of things he’s created, changing history.

  • Requiem For A Dream Hd Full Theme Music Video

Genius lies in simplicity. Probably the best movie soundtrack for me. Clint Mansell and Kronos Quartet did huge job and left the mark in industry.

  • Apparat - The Devi'ls Walk - Goodbye

Dark and dramatic, but still beautiful. Good music must send shivers down the spine. No matter if it’s from fear, sadness, joy or love. It must affect you. Only then is the music really doing it’s job.

  • Kenny Everett & Mike Vickers - Retribution (1977)

Trippy. Not sure if God would be proud about the weed they smoked while making it, but the creativity and freedom in this track is worthy.

  • M83 - In The Cold I'M Standing (Official Video)

Sounds like God’s home in heaven. Wide and deep.

  • Angelo Badalamenti Twin Peaks Theme ( Instrumental) 1990

So much brightness and mystery in this track. Such a strong mood is present in it. Badalamenti is a genius and stands high on a wall of pride by God.
