Exclusive stream of Planas – Petroleum

Toby Davies AKA Planas has built his credentials over the last few years, with rated releases on Ranking (which he co-owns), Mau5trap, Immerse records, last single ‘Breathtaking’ for Exceptional Blue, plus remixes for the likes of Foreign Beggars, Submotion Orchestra, Black Diamond Bay and Screaming Soul.

 

Toby has either produced, engineered or written songs with Alex Clare (Island), Dionne Bromfield, Binky Griptite of The Dap Kings, Tim Hutton (The Prodigy/Groove Armada) and Kim Burse – Beyonce's creative director. He also co-produced and recorded vocals for tracks on the L-Vis 1990 album, ‘Neon Dreams’.

 

Petroleum, off the forthcoming album The Long Game, out soon on Exceptional Blue records, is a slowed down slice of thumpage with an instant head-nod feel. We think it's pretty great, check out the exclusive stream here:
