Drama Parlour’S Music To Cut Hair To #3

Music

Good friends, the Brothers Grimm Mark Broadbent and Andrew Livesey, have taken some time out of their busy Ibiza schedule to compile a special playlist for the Drama Parlour. Currently hosting Pikes in Ibiza every Sunday. It was after spending an afternoon with them and their excellent music taste they seemed like the natural first choice to kick off our guest playlist.

Having run We Love at Space for in Ibiza, amongst many other things, we think it gives them a headstart. Check out the playlist below and read on as we ask them a bunch of questions;

When were you at your happiest?

Andrew – Around 6pm on Monday 30th 2013.

Mark – The week around Christmas 1994 or during the same timeframe the following year – Little Vagator, Goa, India.

A – I get scared of things getting me when I’m in the sea.

M – Dying after Sarah.

Who do you admire?

A – The Broadbents, Neil Young, Michael Palin.

M – Anybody and everybody living the life they want to live.

What trait do you deplore in yourself/ other people?

Favourite word?

A – Bespoke.

M – Anus.

Who would you like to say sorry to?

Both – Cathy Guetta.

Who do you despise?

A – I can’t say, it would make them sad.

M – I had a handful of nemesises a few years back but I've gotten past that stage in my life now. Really not keen on that cunt in the papers (Katie Hopkins) but she's not keeping me awake at night.

A – All me chums.

M – Sarah Broadbent and traveling with her.

What would improve your life?

M – Staying relatively sane in an insane environment.

What keeps you awake at night?

Both – Amphetamines.

How would you like to be remembered?

A – Through my paintings.

M – Massive statue in the square in front of my house in Ibiza. And a small temple dedicated to reflection, lakeside at Pushkar, India.

What lessons has life taught you?

A – Have a nice time all of the time.

M – When in doubt, ask yourself – 'What would Kim Booth do?'

What would your super power be?

A – I’d have all of them.

M – Flight.

Favourite smell?

A – Really like the smell of India, and also the smell of Fig trees.

M – Night Queen or Jasmine. Late night wandering on the subcontinent. Or fresh ganga in the Himalayas.

Who would play you in a film?

A – Frank Zappa.

M – That dude from Dallas Buyers Club and True Detective if we have enough money for him, otherwise Simon Stevenson.

Tell us a secret?

A – I only do that when I’m drunk and so far today I’ve only had 3 beers…

M – I regularly enter and win colouring competitions aimed at children and keep the prizes to give as gifts to friends who have children so that they like me more than they like my brother Andrew.
