Asok – 8 Tracks For Dark Tunnels
There's no better way to travel through the mountains than via a tunnel – though you might get some better views if you're climbing, there's much more work to be done and you can't exactly sit back and listen to a selection of top sounds. For those of you that are also keen on the tunnel route, ASOK has put together a selection of aural pleasures that will suit any mountain-tunnelling needs you might have. The Liverpudlian producer has 20 years of record collecting and almost 15 years of DJing under his belt so he knows a thing or two about music – he's also got a new EP called Count Zero dropping soon via Mistress Recordings. Here's what he has to say about his lovely selections, which you can cycle through by using the tabs to the left of the current video;
"Tracks for dark tunnels through mountains? Maybe. Do those tunnels lead into another dimension or are they artificial tunnels you created in your mind allowing the music to travel through? I don’t know. Whichever it is, these tracks will assist you on your journey."
See ASOK at Berlin's Panorama Bar on Saturday 26th September and at The Garage in Liverpool on Friday 2nd October.
Journey number 1. A track that constantly warps and changes over time with stuttering beats and off time pads. It’s great. Could also be used for driving over very long bridges.
