8 Tracks – Francis Inferno Orchestra

Music

Francis Inferno Orchestra has steadily released a number of successive calls to the dance floor over the last few years. From smashing piano’s on 3AM Piano Thing to bouncing harmonizers on Hezbolla, FIO’s simple and subtle approach to song writing is his best asset and the reason that many people love his music.

Following on from the creation of his latest album 'A New Way of Living', we got FIO to talk us through the 8 Tracks which mean the most to him.

'A New Way of Living' is released via Voyeurhythm, pre-order your copy here.

Geoff Bastow - Tomorrows World

There’s so many things about this record that I love. Not only is the music weird & fantastic but the artwork and the theme is so cool. I’m trying to imagine what it would be like to be in the mind of Geoff Bastow exploring the idea of the future in 1982 through synths.

  • New Music Hunting

British Synthpop group who have recently gotten a lot of attention from that white label repress edit thing of ‘Warp’. This is my favourite from the Warp album however, more creepy vibes.

  • Ennio Morricone - Come Maddalena (Disco 78 Mix)

    Goosebumps.

  • Ryuichi Sakamoto - Music For Yohji Yamamoto (1995)

This is a 35 minute piece by Sakamoto for Japanese fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto. More Goosebumps.

  • [Watchmen] - 12 - Just Look Around You

I think Watchmen had a really fantastic score and this is one of the more intense pieces. Great move too.

  • Braxton Holmes - 12 Inches Of Pleasure (Ron's Foreplay)

Pure Ecstasy for 6 minutes and 13 seconds

  • Badalamenti Twin Peaks Love Theme

A really fantastic video of Baldalamenti talking about working with David Lynch to write the score for Twin Peaks. Really inspiring stuff.

  • Hmc - Digits

A classic from the Australian legend that is House Master Cam. Timeless dance music in its purest form.
