Watch: Max Richter – Sleep (Teaser)
Remember when we told you a little while back that Max Richter was putting together an 8-hour epic called Sleep that's set to soothe while you snooze? Well, the first taste is here now and we're even more intrigued than ever before by this new project.
Sure, you might not be able to appreciate any of the visual elements if you sign on to the fact that you should be sleeping through this but aurally this sounds like a pretty strong start – even if it's well under 1% of the finished product. Sleep will receive its world premiere this September in Berlin, in a concert performance lasting from 12 midnight to 8am at which the audience will be given beds instead of seats and programmes. Naturally.
Still, it's already spreading a yawn around R$N Towers – must be working pretty darn well. Here's your taster;
