stephen lawrence independent review released today

The report into potential police corruption involved in the Stephen Lawrence murder trial has been released today. 

The report, clocking in at over 300 pages includes devastating evidence around the behaviour of various police officers, some of whom were acting undercover and are believed to have ‘infiltrated’ the Lawrence camp.

The report has just been released this morning, so the jury is out – but commentators across the board are appearing to suggest that the report may well lead to further action – possibly criminal trials – for the police officers involved.
