Singers & Players Album Coming Soon Via On-U Sound

Celebrating the legacy of pivotal reggae collective Singers & Players On-U Sound will release the groups second album 'Revenge of the Underdog' on 13th November. 

Originally released in 1982 Revenge of the Underdog was born from the post-punk/reggae experimentation period of early '80s London. Singers & Players, a dub-supergroup made up of a constantly rotating list of names including Prince Far I, Bim Sherman, Jah Woosh plus members of the Roots Radics and Glaxo Babies, released five albums from 1981 – 1988 with Revenge of the Underdog being their second foray into the recording world. 

Drenched in Lee Scratch Perry-esque space echo, earth shattering kicks and politically charged lyricism the Revenge of the Underdog reissue comes with the 10" EP 'War Of Version', previously unheard studio recordings taken from the collectives '81 – '82 sessions that didn't quite make the album cut.
