Short film tells story of Andrew Weatherall & fisherman Gerard Sheehy’s chance meeting

The Tenth Man presents ‘Sail We Must’: a short film telling the story of Andrew Weatherall’s chance meeting with an Irish fisherman named Gerard Sheehy.
Directed by Grizzly, the ten minute film shares the words of wisdom that Sheehy gave Weatherall that went on to change his path and influence another generation of musicians and creatives. It also explores the origins of Andrew’s love of the phrase ‘Fail We May, Sail We Must’. The film features Cian Ó Cíobháin, who tracked down Gerard, as well as Andrew’s close friend and ALFOS collaborator Sean Johnston.
The screening will take place on 16th February at The Sugar Club in Dublin and will feature a live discussion between Cian Ó Cíobháin, Johnny Moy and Billy Scurry about Andrew’s links to Ireland, as well as a DJ set from Billy Scurry inspired by Andrew’s life.
All proceeds from the evening will go to Andrew’s family and the charities that meant the most to him – grab your tickets. The film will premiere the following day, 17th February, on Mixmag to mark the second anniversary of Andrew’s passing.
