Ransom Note is a small, independent publication run by a team of five. We have been in operation for ten years and cannot recall a time as turbulent for the music community in all respects. As the world begins to reopen there is positivity and progress in sight for some. However, for others, like ourselves, that isn’t quite the case as of yet.

We operate independently, based on good will and with our own money. Ransom Note’s only significant and primary source of income otherwise comes from from festival and event partnerships. As such we have incurred significant losses and sadly now have some serious concerns about our stability and future as a publication.

We’ve always done our best to humbly represent our culture, focussing on uplifting those around us and working together to make things better. We strive to make music honest and representative of the hard working people who listen to us and read our publication.

We hope that you have found value in this and that we can continue to do so in the future.

Shanti Celeste curates latest Love International compilation

She is the latest to feature in the series following on from previous curators Gatto Fritto and Beautiful Swimmers.

The celebrated producer and dj has selected an assortment of music which she feels represents her experiences and take on the much loved festival which takes place annually in Croatia each summer. She has selected music by the likes of Mark Seven, Cari Lekebusch, Seekers International and more for a release which will be available both digitally and as a two part LP. 

She is the latest to feature in the series following on from previous curators Gatto Fritto and Beautiful Swimmers. The record is a suitable and extravagant showcase of her own singular style as a dj.
