Saint Etienne To Release 25th Anniversary Box-Set Of ‘Foxbase Alpha’

Saint Etienne's debut album 'Foxbase Alpha' is to get a lovingly crafted re-issue on vinyl and CD in January, to celebrate it's 25th anniversary. The album was the first LP release on Heavenly Recordings in 1991, and was nominated alongside 'Screamadelica' at the first ever Mercury Music Prize. The vinyl box-set will contain the 13 track album across to 45rpm 12"s for 'Hi Fidelity' and also a 33rpm featuring 10 additional tracks from the time (some on vinyl for first time). The box will also contain a 32 page book, photos & trading cards and an exclusive 7" of 'Kiss And Make Up'. There will also be a standard vinyl release and CD box set too. Bob Stanley said of the album, "I can still feel and hear the enjoyment we got from messing about with samples, playing old synths, splicing tapes, trying to get every idea in our heads – Derrick May, the Beach Boys, bits of quiz shows and ad jingles – onto one record. Because obviously we thought we'd never make another. I'm envious of my younger self – it did seem like we wrote a new song every day for about six months."

Saint Etienne – Foxbase Alpha is reissued 13th January 2017, with pre-orders available from 28th October 2016. Full details will be HERE soon.
