owen jones’ agenda for hope

Baby-faced pin up of the left wing, Owen Jones, has devised a 9 point manifesto to tackle economic and social inequality in the UK. Through his column in The Independent, Jones lays out the key things that need to change in this country in order for things to move forward.
The ‘Agenda for Hope’ covers tax evasion of the super rich, a statutory living wage, the housing crisis, general taxation and a review of workers rights among other issues. There is a growing feeling in certain quarters that Jones represents the future of left wing politics in the UK – with the kind of clarity of thought on show here it would surely be a refreshing change from the breed of politician we’re currently lumbered with.
