New On Numbers: Unspecified Enemies Restructure House

Numbers have a great history of pushing things forward, and their latest release from Unspecified Enemies looks back to go forward. Made up of tracks from the late 90s/ early noughties production duo Unspecified Enemies (Louis Digital and CiM aka Counterattack), the lead tracks off the EP were first created in the nineties, and have been extracted from a 'Counterattack Live' tape that was sent to the Rubadub label in '99.
They offer a fascinating scuffing of the house template, pulling at it, covering it in a film of dust and grease and turning the levels up beyond the red. Provocatively titled Everything You Did Has Already Been Done, the 12" flicks through tempos and hiss one moment settling on a bompty Derrick Carter jam, the next collapsing into a flurry of sharp static. Fortunately it all holds together with some style, and has been hearing play from Ben UFO, Tiga and Blawan. Listen below, and grab a copy – on vinyl or digital – direct from Numbers
