Moodoid Release Surreal Animation

Music

Moodoid's music is already a cabinet of curiosities, containing as it does a whirlygig of odd scales, swirling melodies, kitsch vocals and dreamlike echoes. Now the band have released an animated short to accompany new single 'La Lune' that keys straight into all that gentle weirdness and comes up trumps. Created by Marion Dupas, the video features heads supported by hot air balloon brains, a factory making cupcakes out of members of Moodoid, and some sort of blue blooded internal hemorrhage. It's pretty strange.

'La Lune' is the first single to be taken off Moodoid's forthcoming Nicolas Vernhes (Animal Collective) produced long player, Le Monde Möö. The album is set for release at hte start of September, and features collaborations with Tame Impala, Didier Malherbe off fabled prog pixies Gong, and Moodoid leader Pablo Padovani's dad, cult saxophonist Jean-Marc Padovani. More info can be found over on the band's facebook.
