Menace Hz and Tones

Another great release from Fake Bloods label, distinct from last release Leggings odd ball sampling but picking up the Blood Music baton of restrained-yet-massive club shakers. As it turns out Hz and Tones has a pretty prosaic title- the bass line is built from signal generator bass hertz laden with pure scientific warmth. Over this simple test tones drop ascending melodies like a phone exchange singing techno lullabies to itself in the dead of night. Theres room for a couple of gnarlier bass drops to kick in, and two thirds through a lovely melodic breakdown keeps the track interesting. All in all, a great combination of the cerebral, the nocturnal and the heavy.
