Malka Tuti announce compilation to celebrate their 7 year anniversary

2020 marked Berlin-based imprint Malka Tuti’s 5th year of existence.
Sadly due to Covid, their anniversary plans were postponed and now, two years on, they find themselves celebrating 7 years of the label with a compilation featuring music from their nearest and dearest.
Titled Sheva, which translates as Seven in Hebrew, the double LP traces the sounds that have personified the label since it’s inception. Carefully selected and compiled with love, the 12 tracks on the release connect the dots between punk-tinged dance floor cuts, psychedelic electronics, future dub and leftfield disco.
The line up features old faces and new names: the likes of Red Axes, Decha, Xen & Yovav and Vactrol Park make their return, while there’s debuts from Benedikt Frey and a couple of other artists offering up remixes.
These unreleased remixes breathe life into tracks from the label’s back catalogue, including Manfredas who adds his touch to Shari Vari’s ‘Dance Alone’, Nicola Cruz and Phew with two alternate reinterpretations of Decha’s ‘Chebechu’ and Malka Tuti label mates Khidja with a take on Plazmot & Xen’s ‘Sakana’.
Listen to Manfredas’ remix of Shari Vari.
Sheva is set for release as a Bandcamp exclusive on 16/9/2022, followed by all other platforms in October. Artwork by: &talmor.
