Colombian experimental electronic artist Lucrecia Dalt has announced her new album “A Danger to Ourselves,” set for release September 5th via RVNG Intl.

The album features her most emotionally direct work to date and a notable collaboration with David Sylvian, former frontman of Japan. It’s Dalt’s first full-length since her breakthrough 2022 work “¡Ay!”

Departing from her previous conceptual works, Dalt has embraced emotional honesty over fictional narratives.

"This time, I wanted to create music that flows cinematically and sets a landscape to tell a love story that flirts with improbability, the miraculous and the mysterious,"

The album’s title emerged from Sylvian’s lyrics, reflecting “the fragility of life, the oscillations of love, and propulsive longings for the miraculous.”

The lead single “divina” blends Spanish and English vocals in what Dalt calls an “unconventional doo-wop love song.” Beyond Sylvian’s co-production, the 13-track album features collaborations with Juana Molina and Camille Mandoki, with Dalt describing the lyrics as “the most personal truths I have explored to date.”
