Legendary Radio Show Solid Steel Re-Launches W/ Caribou & Four Tet

Music

One of our favourite radio shows Solid Steel has re-launched its site with a ton of goodies for your listening hears to bask in. For fifteen years now the much loved mix show has supplied us with classic mixes and if you head over to the brand spanking new site you'll be pleased to find an exclusive mix from Caribou and Colleen with mixes from Four Tet and Anthony Naples to come next week. If you go back ten years you'll likely come across the same line-up.

In celebration of the re-launch producer DK will be digging through the archives to find the best of Solid Steel's material over the years. Uploads from Ice (The Bug), Diplo, Hudson Mohawke, Bonobo, Tortoise, Dj Shadow, Roots Manuva, James Holden, Super Furry Animals, The Cinematic Orchestra, Skream plus interviews with Herbie Hancock and David Axelrod are just some of the names you can expect to hear over the next few weeks.

Originally launched on Kiss FM in 1988 (pirate radio in those days) by Ninja Tune's Coldcut, the show is regarded by many as the longest running mix show in the world.

The show is premiered every Thursday and Friday on NTS at 2am, then on Solid Steel via Soundcloud the following morning.
