London-based artist LCY has shared a new single ‘0NLY 0NE’ from their forthcoming EP /Y\.

Set for release in full on the 18th January via their own SZNS7N imprint, the EP will explore themes around ‘protection, conformity and safety in relation to societal binaries’.

Marking their first project since 2021’s Pulling Teeth – a conceptual release that centred around a dystopian post-human AI universe – second single ‘0NLY 0NE’ layers LCY’s repetitive words over an upbeat club cut. In their own words “overall it’s just trying to be a song to shake your bum to non-abrasively in the club, or at home in your own little box.”

LCY has built a reputation as one of the most exciting underground names in the UK electronic music scene. As a DJ and creative they’ve shared mixes and livestreams for the likes of Mary Anne Hobbs, Radio 1’s Residency, and fabric’s ‘London Unlocked’ series from Tower Bridge. As well as creating tracks for Overmono and Sherelle’s fabric presents compilations, they’ve also turned in remixes for the likes of Krust and Eartheater.

LCY’s own label SZNS7N provides a space for cutting edge club music, experimental electronics and audio-visual works and, over its three year life span, has shared releases from the likes of Yazzus, Diessa, Grove and Air Max 97.
