Pop Up Radio will host Save The Vinyl, an online event over the next week that brings together eight Polish DJs to help support local independent record shops.

Kicking off on Friday 17th July, the event will be streamed from Lake Zakrzówek, a unique and important part of the city’s landscape that will soon see redevelopment. Amongst the eight DJs who will play B2B at the location are Olivia, Dzuma, Eltron, Daniel Drumz, Virtual Geisha and more who all play pivotal roles in the Polish electronic music community.

Over the week, Pop Up Radio will be holding record auctions led by DJs from the line up, as well as several other collectors, the money of which will be divided equally between one of the four record shops represented; Side One in Warsaw, Vinyl Gate in Poznan, Cyman Records in Gdansk and Paul’s Boutique in Krakow.

Pop Up Radio – the brainchild of DJ, promoter and producer Aska Grochulska aka virtual geisha – was born out of the COVID pandemic and is the first community TV radio in Krakow, Poland. The primary motive of the radio is to keep the city’s underground dance music scene alive and well during the pandemic. Run by a team of DJs, producers, promoters, sound tech and camera crew the station provides support for the little dance music ecosystem in the city.
